The instructor for this workshop will be Stan Miller.
In this workshop, students will have the options of being guided through a portrait or a landscape painting. Each day, both a portrait and a landscape will be demonstrated by the instructor, students have the choice each day of either choosing the landscape or the portrait, if they choose to be guided through the demonstration by Stan. Students also have the option of working on their own subjects. Students are encouraged to bring photos of subjects that they might like to paint in the future for Stan to look at and discuss with the student. Technique, color, choosing paintable subjects, understanding composition and design will also be addressed in this workshop.

About the instructor
Stan Miller was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1949. He moved to Spokane, WA in 1966. He attended Spokane Falls Community College in 1969, taking one year of liberal arts and three years of fine art, graduating in 1973. He has been a professional artist, painting full time since. He works primarily in watercolor and egg tempera. Stan Miller has become internationally known, having won numerous awards around the world. He also teaches classes and
workshops in watercolor around the world.
